Worship Choices
Worship early, or worship late, but do join us at UUMC for either of our
worship services!
Beginning June 15, you have two options for Sunday morning worship at UUMC,
and they will continue year-round. In the summer, there will be at 9 a.m.
worship service in the Memorial Garden. The Sunday after Labor Day, we will
begin at 8:30 a.m. worship service in Copper Chimney Lounge.
The good news is that the 10:30 a.m. worship service will remain the same,
year-round. This is a traditional worship service in our sanctuary. During the
academic year, we have three choirs, and we celebrate Holy Communion on the
first Sunday of every month.
The early worship service is designed for those who like a more informal,
shorter time of worship, with singing of choruses. Weather permitting, we’re
outside in the Memorial Garden, a beautiful setting to give thanks to God. Our
music is provided by guitars. Most Sundays, it’s delightfully cool. On warm
sunny days, you might bring an umbrella for shade. The outdoor worship service
this year will be from June 15 through August 31.
The 8:30 a.m. worship service begins September 7, and will be in Copper
Chimney Lounge for 45 minutes. Piano (and sometimes guitars) will be our musical
accompaniment as we sing, openly express our joys and concerns, and share in a
more intimate setting for worship. Feel free to share in the coffee and goodies
as we worship in a family-friendly atmosphere, and don’t forget to stay for our
Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:15 a.m. You can be on your way by 10:15
a.m., spiritually fortified for the week ahead!
Spread the word! You don’t have to miss worships because of a busy schedule.
Come early, or come late, whichever fits your schedule!
