     No report.

B. Budget (Christi)

Check to see that Mike Kelsey was reimbursed for the money to put the signage on the Van. This should come from our parking money account.

C. College/University Student-UUMC Roster

Monty has bogged down on the project and Don agreed to nag him till he got it done. He has the names of the graduating UUMC H.S. seniors from the last four years. Each one's parents need to be contacted and addresses obtained.

D. Goody Bag Sunday, April 27,2008.

The group confirmed that this is an important Student/ Congregation interaction. The discussion led to a broader discussion the congregation/student interaction in general. There was concern about the decreasing numbers of students attending worship Sunday morning. (See Connections below.)

E. Have-A-Heart Brunch- February 3.

See # 2. Proceeds will again support the Spring Wesley work trip to New Orleans.

F. Connections Luncheon project.

The conversation about student/congregation interaction, pointed out that the connections luncheon have be very successful. The question was raised with Tim concerning the next "Connections" as a Sunday Night Supper. Would the Wesley students appreciate having congregation members attend their worship service and other activities? Tim feels that the worship services were open to all persons interested in attending with the students. Tim also proposed that UUMC/Wesley could do some type of "Building Bridges" session in the UUM C-U-Wednesday format. For our next "Connections" the group decided on Sunday evening March 30. HiEd would provide the meal and the program would be "Connections." Details will be worked on at the Feb. meeting.

G. Merit Scholarships.

We'll use the same application as last year. The same criteria for the Wernette Scholarship will also apply except for the emphasis on education oriented major. Deadline for applications was set at April 6 and evaluation would be done on the 14th.

H. Methodist Universities and College information & Student Recognition Sunday. April 27, 2008.

Christi will ask Ian if he still has the posters for the Student Recognition Sunday. If not, we will have to reconstruct the data by going to the UMC website and mining it for the relevant information. The existing materials will have to be updated in any event.

J. Seminary Student Support Project.

There are no seminarians at present but Tim says that four Wesley students are seriously exploring the possibility of going into the ministry.

K. Student e-mails.

J.J. indicates that no new first time student worship attenders have been registered this year so far.

L. Van Project.-

Don contacted "Signs Tomorrow" and they put the UUMC/Wesley Foundation labels with the cross and flame on the sides and back of the tan van. The van with it's new signage looks super. You can see it in the parking lot. From now on it will no longer be just the "Tan Van" but the "UM Center Tan Van."

M. Web Page, Kiosk

Monty has updated most of the HiEd web page. He is having some difficulty with the compatibility of his web program with the church's program so the progress is slower than he would like. He has done nothing about the Kiosk yet, though the Merit awards poster should be put on it this month.

N. Wesley support Draft Letter. To District Council on Ministries and/or District Finance Committee.

J.J. has been unable to get an accurate address to send the letter. Tim will give him the proper designation and J.J. will alter the letter appropriately and have each HiEd member sign it.

7. Next Meeting - Monday, Feb.11, 2008.
