2. Connections Haven House Dinner:
Linda wrote: "We will be preparing for 50-60 for the Haven House dinner scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 23.  I will need some volunteers (2) to work on Saturday morning, Nov. 22. I will also need a couple of volunteers for Sunday afternoon, 2-4 and then maybe the WF students can help me get food
loaded and shuttled to Haven House in order to serve by 5:30 Sunday evening. I will need some cleanup help 1-2 (either Higher ed or WF) for after.  We are using some disposable tableware, but will have serving dishes/utensils to clean up."
Volunteers Saturday morning, Nov. 22 = Christi & Karen
Volunteers Sunday afternoon, Nov. 23 = JJ & 18 Wesley Students
Clean up crew.= Christi & Larry
Tim will supply the tableware, plates and cups.
Persons wishing to come to the meal, meet a 4 p.m. at the Wesley Foundation , help load and transport the food to Haven House. Contact Tim ahead of time for a reservation We will eat with the residents then return the serviced dishes and utensils to the church to be washed. Linda will take care of the food.
3. Africa U. program.
Don Meaders will help Monty with this project. It is proposed that we invite the Tabers to present a program in 2009. Ideally it would include a session with Adult Education at 9:30 a.m., sermon at 10:30 a.m. and a lunch at noon. We don't wish to contact the Tabers until we have reviewed these plans with John Ross and Kennetha. Monty will advise the group via e-mail on progress and/or problems.
B. Budget. (Christi)
Our 2009 proposal is for $2100 for committee work and Peer Ministry support and $2000 for scholarships. Zimmerman indicated that the finance drive has gone very well so we may be fully funded or at least not cut severely.
